I have been a writer since I was about ten years old. In public school, I was part of a writing program that wrote and performed a radio play for the CBC. I think it was about bears.
My more recent professional background includes scientific and scholarly editing, web consulting, and advanced graduate studies in English literature (MA, PhD).
In addition to my professional skills, I am an avid outdoorsman who bikes, hikes, hunts, fishes, and canoes. I have also turned my hand at various times to the crafts of fine woodworking, metalwork, and sewing.
